     John Oliver Newman, 58, Salisbury, died Sept. 2, 2007, at his residence. Born Oct. 5,
  1948, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Hubert Lowery and Eleanor
  (Hostetler) Newman. Surviving are his former wife, Christine Newman
  and a daughter, Ella Newman, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Newman was a
  self-employed musician and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. A memorial service will be at 4
  p.m. Friday at Mr. Newman's residence along Ord Street in Salisbury. Cremation
  arrangements were arranged by Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury.
