LIDA NEWMAN

  Mrs. Lida V. Newman, 56, wife of Calvin Newman, died Friday noon at her home 
in Milford Twp., near Rockwood.  She had been in ill health for several months.
  Mrs. Newman was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Landis and was born 
in Brothersvalley Twp., where she grew to womanhood.  Besides her husband she is 
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Roy L. Long, at home, and a son, Pvt. Dale C. 
Newman stationed in California; also by a brother, Elwood Landis, a prominent 
farmer of Brothersvalley Twp.
