  Oney O. Newman, 72, of Meyersdale, died June 9, 2003 in Meyersdale Medical
  Center.  Born June 7, 1931 in Salisbury, a son of the late Otto and Blanche
  Pritts.  Preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Brick and Shirley
  Glotfelty.  Survived by his wife, Shirley (Schardt) Newman and these
  children: Sharon, wife of Tom Smith of Meyersdale, David and his wife Helen
  of Grantsville, Md., Randall and his wife Janet and Greg and his wife Kathy
  both of Meyersdale.  Also 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 
  Two sisters, Lois Kushner of York, Pa., and Sandra Hanblin of Bowie, Md.,
  and brother Donald Newman of Glencoe.  He was a retired employee of
  Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. of Cumberland, Md.  He was an avid hunter and
  fisherman.  A member of Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church, member of
  Masonic Lodge 554 and member and past High Priest of Hebron Royal Arch
  Chapter 272.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in
  Leckemby Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Thursday with Rev. Albert Valentine officiating.
