   Vera M. (Davis) Newman, 95, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at Golden
  Living Center, Meyersdale.  She was born July 22, 1911, in Springs, she was the daughter
  of the late Rev. P.S. and Mary (Early) Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband,
  J.W. Newman and a grandson, John W. Newman.  Survived by two daughters: Janet Marie
  Newman, California; Carol Mae Truitt, Morganton, NC; one son, Richard B. Newman,
  Grantsville, MD; one brother, Carle Davis, Marysville, TN; one sister, Maurine
  Huffington, Texas and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great
  grandchildren.  Mrs. Newman was a member of Salisbury Church of the Brethren and was a
  retired teacher's aid for the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District. She also attended
  Bridgewater College Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-
  Dixon Hwy., Salisbury on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services were conducted in the
  funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Brad Truitt officiating. Interment was in Salisbury

    Vera M. (Davis) Newman, 95, Salisbury, died Dec. 13, 2006, at Golden Living Center,
  Meyersdale. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Newman
  Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, where a service will be conducted
  at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
