    David E. Newswanger, 61, Somerset, passed on Oct. 1, 2006, at home. Born Dec. 2, 1945,
  in Quemahoning Township, he is the son of Candace (Newcomer) Newswanger, Lancaster, and
  the late Richard Newswanger. He is survived by his mother and numerous aunts and uncles
  and nieces and nephews. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a
  member of the American Legion Post 181 in Somerset. He was a big fan of NASCAR racing.
  Friends will be received from 10 am. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Thursday at
  Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. The Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment at Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
