  Joann Newton, 38, Cleveland, Ohio, died March 2, 1979, at home.  Born Oct.
  11, 1940, in Ellsworth, she was a daughter of Roy and Florence (Tressler)
  Zack.  Also survived by her husband, Larry, and a daughter, Geraldine
  Hager, Brownsville.  Preceded in death by her mother.  Friends will be
  received after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, and
  from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday.  The body will lie in state at the Grace
  Methodist Church from 1-2 p.m., the hour of service, the Rev. Eugene
  Lancaster officiating.  Interment, Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
