Nichol, 70, of Somerset RD 5, died Sept. 22, 1986, Westmoreland Community Hospital, Greensburg. Born June 11, 1916, in Somerset, a son of the late William and Minnie (Weaver) Nichol. Also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Martz; brothers, Charles and Ralph. Survived by his widow, the former Althea Weaver, whom he married on Oct. 9, 1938; these children: Mrs. James R. (Bonnie) Watkins, Somerset, RD 8; Mrs. Milton W. (Connie) James, Fontana, Calif.; Mrs. Gary S. (Robin) Parker, Industry RD 2; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a retired senior salesman for Exxon North Side Turnpike Station; veteran of World War II, member of Grace United Methodist Church; American Legion; and Laurel Ridge Sportsman's Association. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Olson officiating.
