  Frances Wiggins Nichols, 95, died Dec. 5, 2005, at The Patriot, Somerset.
  
  Born July 31, 1910, in Shelocta, daughter of the late John and Mary Wiggins,
  Elderton. Mrs. Nichols is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Nichols
  Sr. She is survived by three children, Alice M. Henk, Judith A. Carter and
  Kenneth M. Nichols Jr. "Grandma Nick" as she was lovingly called by all her
  family and close friends has eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren;
  two sisters, Margaret Wood and Eleanor Bair; and a brother, Ray Wiggins, still
  living in the Indiana area. She is a graduate of Columbia Hospital School of
  Nursing in Pittsburgh. She was a long time resident at Lake Stonycreek, near
  Shanksville. A memorial service will be celebrate at Unity United Church of
  Christ, near Shanksville at a date to be determined later. The Rev. Jay Shaffer
  officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Unity UCC
  Building Fund, Shanksville, PA 15560, or your favorite charity. Arrangements by
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
