  JOSEPH W. NICHOLSON
  
  Joseph W. Nicholson, 90, of Confluence RD 1, died Sept. 1, 1978, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.
  He was born March 21, 1888, in Fayette County, son of the late John H. and
  Saloma (Weyant) Nicholson.
  He is survived by brother, Robert M. of Connellsville; and nieces and
  nephews.
  Friends were received Sept. 2 Saturday, at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where funeral services was held Sunday, Sept. 3, the Rev.
  Arthur Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Maple Summit Cemetery.
