  Josephine C. Mitchell-Nicholson, 78, Confluence, died June 8, 1999, at her
  home.  Born Aug. 2, 1920, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, daughter of Harry
  and Sarah (Ohler) Younkin.  Preceded in death by parents, husbands,
  Clarence E. Mitchell and Lloyd C. Nicholson; a daughter, Francis; brother,
  Lester Younkin, and sister, Ida Metheney.  Survived by three sons:  Harry
  Mitchell and wife Nancy, Riverton, Wyoming; Daniel Mitchell and wife
  Barbara, Fayetteville, N.C.; Robert Mitchell and wife Nancy, Confluence,
  and a daughter, Debra Tannehill and husband Richard, Somerset; eight
  grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sister, Elvia Clevenger, Redkey,
  Ind., and a brother, James Younkin, Bruceton Mills, W.Va.  Friends will be
  received from 7-9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Humbert
  Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday,
  with Ralph Miller and Joel Crawford officiating.  Interment, Jersey
  Cemetery.
