Born June 28, 1891, in Berlin, Pa. son of the late Simon and Lucretia (Bell) Nicholson. Also preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters. Survived by his wife, the former Rose Beal. Member of Freidens [sic] Lutheran Church, Somerset Lodge 358 F. & A.M., Modern Woodsmen of America, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance and Right of Ways. Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Freidens [sic] Lutheran Church with the Rev. James R. Ling officiating. Interment, Friedens Lutheran Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Contributions may be made to the seminarian fund of the Friedens Lutheran Church. Masonic service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Daily American, Sept. 9, 1974 [N0271]
