  Ellen L. Nicklow, 73, Acosta, died Sept. 22, 1997, in Somerset Hospital. 
  Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Acosta, a daughter of the late Ralph C. and Nannie
  (Stiffler) Mock.  Preceded in death by one grandson and three sisters. 
  Survived by her husband, John, and these children: Ralph, married to the
  former Patricia Schmitz, Bowie, Md.; Janet Koontz, fiance of Mike Eversole,
  Dunlo; John, married to the former Particia Cresswell, and Debra, wife of
  Bill Nist, both of Somerset; nine grandchildren and seven
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Emma Pearl and Carol Mock, both of
  Jeannette; Nancy Teeters, Florida, and Irene Morris, New Mexico;
  sister-in-law of Beatrice, Elva and Robert Nicklow, all of Acosta; several
  nieces and nephews.  Member of the Acosta Church of God.  Retired from
  Dorfman and Hoffman Co., Boswell.  Her death ended a marriage union of 55
  years. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at
  the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at
  10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Keith Bell officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given
  to the Acosta Church of God.
