Nicklow, 84, Acosta, died April 10, 2007, at The Patriot. Born March 8, 1923, in Acosta, son of John Elmer and Mary Belle (Ogline) Nicklow. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Wilbert and John Nicklow; sisters, Edna and Lottie Stiffler, Margaret Avery, Naomi Russell, Alma Meyers, Betty Ash and Mary Louise Nicklow. Survived by sister, Beatrice Nicklow, Somerset, and numerous nieces and nephews. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations, former coal miner and retired employee and member of the Somerset Aerie 1801, FOE. Also a member of the Somerset Post 554 VFW. Viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
