"Bud" Nicklow, 80, of Acosta, died April 26, 1987, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 13, 1907, in Acosta, son of John and Mary (Ogline) Nicklow. Preceded in death by parents and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, the former Elva Wable. His death ends a marriage union of 50 years. He is also survived by these children: Mrs. Beverly Nichol of Greensburg; Larry, married to the former Grace Weyand of York; Mrs. George R. (Donna) Barron of Acosta; Mrs. William (Sara Jane) Lewis of Barnesboro; and Wilbert "Jerry" of Windber; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. A brother of John, Robert and Beatrice, all of Acosta; and Mrs. Dave (Betty) Ash of Jennerstown. Was a retired coal miner and steward at the F.O.E. Lodge, Somerset, where he was also a member. He was also a member of the Jenner Rod and Gun Club and Laurel Mountain Sportsmen's Association. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Earl Crissman officiating.
