  GERTRUDE L. NICOLA
  
    Gertrude Lucille Nicola, 55, of Confluence RD 2, died April 2, 1983 in
  Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.
    She was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Lincoln Hill, a daughter of the late Lee
  and Martha (Younkin) Mefford.
    She is survived by husband, Joseph; and the following children: Mrs.
  Patsy Woods, of Ursina; Jacob Leonard Jr., Markleton; Max Leonard,
  Bridgeport, Conn., and Robert Leonard, Confluence; two stepsons: William
  Nicola and Bryan Nicola, both of Ursina; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.
  Mildred Curavo, Confluence; and a brother, Donald Mefford, of Oxford, Mich.
    She was preceded in death by three brothers.
    Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where
  services were held with the Rev. Raymond Schermerhorn officiating.
  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.
