Born April 9, 1922, in Raccoon, a daughter of Ignatz and Rose Stankiewicz Dominski. On Aug. 7, 1946, she married George Nicola who died Oct. 2, 1978. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Popp, and four brothers, John, Frank, Stanley and Ignatz Dominski. Mrs. Nicola was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by two daughters, Helen Jean Caton of Meyersdale, and Elizabeth Ann Mader of Washington; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Jason, Melissa and Jennifer Mader and Matthew and Bobbie Caton and Holly Bear, and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Joseph, Jacob and Abigayle. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettsown [sic], and a member of the Christian Mothers. Also a member of St. Phillips and James Church in Meyersdale. She was a member of the Meyersdale Medical Auxiliary, and a volunteer for Casselman Valley Share. She loved flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Ave., Burgettstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Burgettstown, with Father Richard J. Tusky officiating.
