A daughter of Jacob H. and Lily M. (Young) Hochard, she was born April 19, 1910 in Ralphton, Somerset County. Mrs. Niehenke was a member of the Strongstown Mission. She had lived in Somerset County until moving to Indiana County in 1944. Surviving are her husband, Pastor Eugene W.; three sons: Kennard E. of Klymer [sic] RD 1, Russell J. of Creekside RD 1, and Paul S. of Coraopolis, two daughters: Mrs. Clair (Ethel) Black of Chipppewa [sic] Lake, Ohio and Mrs. Mike (Emma) Sesock of Homer City RD 1; a sister of Mrs. John (Carrie) Shaulis of Somerset RD 1; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Russell and Harry. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Robinson-Lytle Funeral Home, 36 N. Seventh St., Indiana, where services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor A. B. Williams officiating. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Daily American, March 3, 1976 [N0281]
