Niehenke, 61, Somerset RD 2, died May 20, 1989, in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 18, 1927 in Wilbur, son of the late Aaron and Myrtle (Keyser) Neihenke. Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Harold. Survived by wife, Geraldine Glessner; and these children: Eugene Jr., Somerset RD 2; and Barbara, wife of Darl Ream, Confluence RD 1; 9 grandchildren; and one sister, Charlotte Nelson, Hawaii. Owner-operator of Bedford County Stone and Lime Company. Operator of Niehenke Paving Company. Veteran of U.S. Army Air Force. Life member of the VFW Post 554 Somerset, Loyal Order of Moose 973 Somerset, Legion of the Moose, Johnstown 84, Jenners Rod and Gun Club, Bedford Elks 1707, National Rifle Association, Air Craft Owners and Pilots Association, and New Baltimore Sportsmen's Association. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Bishop Irvin J. Knieriem.
