  Frank J. Niemiec, 84, died Jan. 20, 1996, in Houston, Texas.  Born in
  Sonman, Pa.  Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Leo T.
  Slattery, Houston;  grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Slattery and Andrew James 
  Slattery, Houston;  brothers: Joseph, Tony and Stanley Niemiec, all of Acosta;
  sister, Agnes Witkowksy, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Fred Dunbar,
  Cleveland, Ohio.  Also numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Maximilian 
  Kolbe Catholic Church, Houston.  Member of the United Mine Workers Union and
  American Legion.   Served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Services at
  10:30 a.m. today at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Houston, Rev. Adam
  McClosky officiating.   Interment, Houston National Cemetery, Houston.
