  JOHN J. NIEMIEC

  John J. Niemiec, 70, Acosta, died Jan. 6, 1981, at Mercy Hospital,
  Johnstown.  Born June 4, 1910, in Portage, he was the son of Michael C. and
  Mary (Shutty) Niemiec.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Frank; infant
  granddaughter, Felicia Annette Niemiec;  and one infant sister.  Survived
  by widow, the former Leona Blair; and these children:  Henrietta (Mikey),
  wife of Homer Shaulis, Jr., Betty, wife of Joseph Bertolini, and
  Antoinette, wife of Andrew Mayak, all of Boswell;  John, married to the
  former Mary Ann Fortney, Harrisburg;  Barbara, wife of Kenneth Walker, and
  Debra, wife of Alvie Snider, both of Somerset;  Joseph (Sonny), married to
  the former Chris Burton, Elizabethtown, Ky.;  Georgetta (Peaches), wife of
  Fred Lease, Cleveland, Ohio;  Rick, at home;  24 grandchildren; also
  daughter-in-law, Shirley Niemiec, Gray.  Brother of Kathryn;  Joseph,
  married to the former Rosemary Boburchak;  and Stanley, married to the
  former Leona Moucheron, all of Acosta; Frank, married to the former Elda
  Pederzolli, Cleveland, Ohio;  Anna, wife of Joseph Yokobosky;  Anthony; and
  Agnes, wife of Matthew Witkowski, all of Niagra Falls, N.Y.  Member of St.
  John's Catholic Church, Acosta, and UMWA.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. 
  Wednesday and from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 
  409 Main St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.  
  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Church, the Rev. 
  J. Joseph Strittmatter officiating.  Interment, Beam Cemetery.
