  LEONA E. NIEMIEC

  Leona E. Niemiec, 72, 31 Sixth St., Acosta, died unexpectedly Nov. 29,
  1987, at home.  Born Aug. 20, 1915, in Maryland, daughter of Grayson and
  Naomi (Jones) Blair.  Preceded in death by parents; husband John J., who
  died Jan. 6, 1981; son, Frank, who died Aug. 11, 1973; an infant
  granddaughter, Felicia Annette Niemiec.  Survived by these children:
  Henrietta (Mikey), wife of Homer Shaulis, Jr., Boswell RD 3; Betty, wife of
  Joseph Bertolini, and Antoinette, wife of Andrew Mayak Jr., both of Boswell;
  John, married to former Mary Ann Fortney, Harrisburg;  Barbara, wife of
  Kenneth L. Walker, and Debra, wife of Alvie Snyder, both of Somerset;
  Joseph (Sonny), married to former Chris Burton, Elizabethtown, Ky.;
  Georgetta (Peaches), wife of Fred Lease, Cleveland, Ohio; and Rick, at
  home; 24 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law,
  Shirley Niemiec, Ray, Pa. Sister of Wallace, Russell and William, all of
  Cleveland, Ohio; Neva Strickler, Acosta; Madaline Tipton of Gray; and Elsie
  Younkin, Pittsburgh; also numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of St. John's
  Catholic Church, Acosta.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to
  4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell, where
  wake service will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10
  a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Church, Father Benjamin Dykas officiating. 
  Interment, Beam Cemetery.
