Niemiec, 53, Kuhntown Road, Jefferson Township, died unexpectedly Jan. 4, 2007, at home. Born Dec. 26, 1953, in Somerset, son of Stanley Sr. and Leona (Moucheron) Niemiec. Preceded in death by mother on Feb. 18, 2000. A devoted, loving and loyal person, quick with a smile and full of fun, Michael sadly leaves behind his beloved family and friends. Survived by father, Acosta; wife, the former Nancy Cornwell; daughter, Rachael and son, Kyle, both at home. Brother of Stanley Jr., Fairbanks, Alaska; Kathy, married to Terry Kozuch, Somerset; Anthony, married to Debra Stets, Friedens; Theresa, married to Ed Mimna and Matthew, married to Cathy Drummond, both of Somerset. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Roger Cornwell and wife, Robin, Laguna Beach, Calif.; and Gary Cornwell and wife, Mary of Murphy, N.C.; uncle, Tony Niemiec; aunts, Agnes and Rosemary; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Retired construction worker having most recently been employed by Critchfield Construction. Forever young at heart, Michael loved old movies, his horses, his Harley and especially his antique trucks. Enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his son, dad and brothers. Mike loved helping coach peewee football and was a member of Somerset County Sheriff's Posse. Enjoyed good conversation with the people he loved gathered around a campfire. Will be sadly missed. Also was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset and Somerset Aerie 1801 FOE. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rev. Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Committal St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton.
