Born Sept. 21, 1929, in Windber, son of the late John and Theresa (Steib) Nihoff. Also preceded in death by brothers Mike, John, Stephen and Joseph and sister, Mary. Survived by wife of 52 years, the former Julia Leber; children, James, Camp Hill, Stephen, married to the former Margaret Gioia, Kathleen, wife of Dennis Mash, Patricia and fiancˇ Eric Ferpas, all of Windber, and Janice, wife of Mark Stumpo, Johnstown; grandchildren, Keith and Kristin Chicarell, Jason and Michael Mash, Danielle and Jennifer Nihoff and Sara Stumpo; great-grandson, Logan Hunter. Brother of Betty Zeglin, Windber. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Also lifelong friend of John Markovich. James was an Army veteran and avid hunter and fisherman. Member St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hugh W. Marron Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Leonard E.
