Born in Elk Lick Township, Feb. 5, 1916, a daughter of the late Lloyd Calvin Sipple and Lydia Susan (Housel) Sipple. Also preceded in death by husband, Alvin Dalton Niner, Sr., on Oct. 4, 1968; three sisters, Almeda Cecil, Miriam Hart, Blanche Sipple and a brother, Clay Sipple. Survived by two sons, Edgar Niner and wife, Elizabeth, Ormond Beach, Fla., Alvin Niner, Jr. and wife Leona, Grantsville, Md.; three grandchildren: David Paul Niner and wife, Celeste, Gainesville, Fla.; Kelsey (Niner) and husband, Brett Blackadar, Lake Mary, Fla. and Roxanne Niner, Grantsville; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Peters and Alyssa Rose Niner, Gainesville, Fla., Megan Elizabeth Blackadar, Lake Mary, Fla.; two brothers Paul Sipple, Doylestown, and Nyle Sipple and wife Lena, Grantsville, Md.; two sisters-in-law, Garna (Niner) Walker, Meyersdale and Helen (Niner) Galley, Fort Hill; also several nieces and nephews. She graduated from Salisbury High School in 1932, attended Indiana State Teachers' College and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education and Guidance from Frostburg State University. She taught for 23 years in the elementary and secondary schools of the Salisbury-Elk Lick School District. Upon retirement, she traveled extensively to all fifty states, Canada, Europe, Mid-East, Hawaii and the Orient. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, where she served as Sunday School teacher and superintendent, choir member, deacon, elder and president of the Consistory. At Rosella's request, her body was cremated. There will be no viewing, visitation or service. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at the Salisbury Cemetery beside the grave of her husband.
