    Kathryn Joan Nixon, 72 of National Pike, Grantsville, MD, died Thursday, October 26,
  2006 at Lions Center, Cumberland, MD.
     Born February 27, 1934in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Grace (Yost)
  Resh. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Glendon E. Nixon, June 22, 2001;
  three brothers: Harold "Snip" Resh, Jerry Resh and Kenneth Resh; one sister, Jody Crowe. 
    Surviving are one daughter, Donna Lichliter and husband, Tom, Salisbury; one brother,
  Emerson Resh, Baltimore, MD; six sisters: Frances Barncord, Corriganville, MD; Wanda
  Brewer, Fort Worth, TX; Mary Kamp, Grantsville; Norma Bowser, Grantsville; Doris Cross,
  Cumberland; Helen Bowser, Louisville, OH; two grandchildren: Brian and Melody.
     Mrs. Nixon was a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren and worked as a
  beautician for Athey's Beauty Shop, Cumberland.   Friends were received at Newman Funeral
  Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Services was
  conducted in the funeral home Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Daniel
  Whitacre and Rev. David Fetter officiating. Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
