Nixon, 88, of Mentor, Ohio, for the past nine years and formerly of Jennerstown, died Dec. 17, 1996, at Mentor Way Care Center, Mentor. Born Sept 2, 1908 in Scotland. Was a homemaker. Member of American Legion Auxiliary. Survived by a son, William A. Nixon of Mentor, and five grandchildren: Michael Nixon, David and Douglas Gohn, Susan Kolezynski and Robin Brant; son-in-law, Robert Gohn of Jennerstown; 4 great-grandchildren: Edward and William Nixon, Alison and Emily Kolezynski; 2 brothers, Tony (Joan) Novich of Plattsmouth, Neb.; Charles (Dorothy) Novich of Greensburg; a sister, Victoria (Patrick) Keenan of Herminie. Preceded in death by husband, William B. Nixon; daughter Barbara Ann Gohn. Services at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Visitation: 12:30 - 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at the cemetery. Interment, Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg. Arrangements by Brunner, a Golden Rule funeral home, Mentor, Ohio.
