Nolte, 75, Canton, Ohio, died Monday, January 26, in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Coal Run, he had been a resident of Canton for the last 40 years. He was a retired employee of Republic Steel Corporation, retiring in 1970 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Dueber United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Bible Class. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (O'Brien) Nolte, a former resident of Swanton, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Roland (Mary Jane) Dugan, Westerville, Ohio; three sons, O. Eugene Nolte, Jensen Beach, Florida; Ronald Nolte, Canton; and Rev. James Nolte, Norwalk, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Howell, Canton; and Mrs. Edna Platter, Meyersdale. Funeral services were held in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. William A. Amerson officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Hills Burial Park. The Republic, February 12, 1981 [N0322]
