Norris, 77, of Fairhope, died Jan. 8, 1995, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Jan. 10, 1917, in Garrett, a son of the late Albert E. and Mary E. (Roby) Norris. Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy J. (Sturtz) Norris, who died May 28, 1993; a sister, Ruth Twigg, and two brothers, James and Warren Norris. Retired in 1980 with 28 years of employment as a custodian at Allegany Ballistics Laboratories. Served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Survived by two sons and two daughters: Raymond W. Norris and Cecil F. Norris, both at home; Sheila D. Groves, Cumberland, and Joyce A. Charlesworth, Latrobe. Surviving are two brothers: David L. Norris, Mount Savage, Md., and Roy E. Norris, Meyersdale; three grandchildren and a great- grandson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Don Cottrell officiating. Interment in Cook Cemetery, Wellersburg.
