VIOLET NORRIS

  Violet Gladys Norris, 92, of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at 
Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Md.
  Born Dec. 8, 1904, in Garrett, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and 
Virginia (Bowman) Lenhart.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James 
Elwood Norris, who died March 22, 1989.
  Mrs. Norris was the owner of Vi & Jim's Rock Shop.  She was a member of St. 
James Brethren Church and was a member of the St. James 4-H Club.
  Mrs. Norris is survived by two daughters: Beth A. Shank of Hagerstown and A. 
Lois Graybill of Taylor, Texas; one son, James A. Norris of Frederick, Md.; 
eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
  Services were held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown.  Interment, Cedar Lawn 
Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
