Born July 17, 1954, in Pittsburgh, the son of John David Norseen and Ruth Elizabeth Bushman. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Ellen Rutter; and brother-in-law, Art Rutter. Survived by wife, the former Donna Denise Ream, to whom he was married 29 years; children, Julie Elizabeth Norseen and husband, Micah Merrick, Philadelphia; Sara Rebekah Norseen, Diana Faye Norseen and John David Norseen III, all at home; sisters, Mrs. Gary (Susan) Wydman, Dallas; and Mrs. Fred (Jane) Houlihan, State College; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a 1972 graduate of Mount Lebanon High School, he received his B.S. from Penn State University and his M.S. from the University of Southern California, he also was currently working on completing his Doctorate. He was a U.S. Naval Aviator serving in various capacities including intelligence. He graduated from the Naval War College with Highest Distinction. John made significant contributions in the fields of biofusion, information security and biometrics. But he is also treasured for his exuberance, intelligence, creativity, love of PSU football, rock 'n' roll and an almost child-like curiosity. John D. Norseen will always be remembered for his devotion to his family. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Kingwood Church of God, Kingwood. The Rev. James L. Monticue, the Rev. Scott Ream and the Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment Kingwood IOOF Cemetery. For the education of his children, contributions may be made payable to Susan E.
