Nosal, 85, Jerome, died Jan. 10, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Oct. 28, 1921, in Jerome, son of Stanley Nosal and Mary (Krystynick) Nosal-Zabo. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, Frank Zabo; wife, the former Emma June Nicolli, on Oct. 26, 1986; brother, Edward Nosal; and sisters, Helen Runtz, Josephine Holoka and Wanda Phillips. Survived by son, Stanley E., married to the former Catherine Temyer, Lancaster; and grandsons, Michael and Craig. Brother of Walter Nosal, married to the former Ruth Bittner, Ohio; Frances (Zabo), married to Joseph Badaczewski, Jerome; and Stella (Zabo), married to Paul Smith, Butler. A 1939 graduate of the former Boswell High School. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater as a technical sergeant. Retired assistant superintendent for PennDOT. Owner/operator of Nosal's Dairy Store, Jerome, for the past 53 years. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville; Father David J. Dodson Fourth Degree Assembly 2201, K of C; St. Maximilian Kolbe Council 8979, K of C; Hollsopple Post 8861 VFW; Jenner Rod & Gun Club; Jerome Nest 556, Polish Falcons of America since April of 1950; and was a charter member of Jerome Post 802 American Legion for 62 years. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held Friday afternoon.
