Born Nov. 13, 1916, in New York City, son of Thomas Arthur and Harriet (Fischer) Nosworthy. Preceded in death by parents; a daughter, Miss Joanne; and a sister, Anne Lenphier. Survived by his wife, the former Jean Philliber; son, Robert Arthur, married to Crystal Downer, Harrisburg; Laura, married to John E. Robarge, Bryan, Ohio; John Alexander, married to Laurie Fincher, Salisbury, Md.; Enilie, Manaroneck [sic], N.Y.; son, David Alan, Ithaca, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two brothers: Thomas, Middletown, N.Y., and John, Greenwich, Conn. Retired in 1978 as superintendent of Transportation at the Con-Edison Co.; also former coordinator of transportation at Penelec. Former member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and a former vestryman at St. Mark's Church. Captain in U.S. Navy in World War II and Korean Conflict. Former official representative of the Fourth Naval District; also the Indian Lake Golf Club. No visitation. Memorial service Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Field Church, Somerset, with Father Robert Mitchell officiating. Interment, Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
