"Tex" Novak Sr., 67, 605 Allegheny St., Boswell, died unexpectedly July 25, 1995, at home. Born March 6, 1928, in Ralphton. Son of Frank Sr. and Jennie (Cibert) Novak. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Ida Jean Foust, May 15, 1980; infant brother, Frank Jr.; and sisters Jennie Bodek and Sophia Vish. Survived by two children: Melody, wife of Rodger Alumbaugh, Boswell RD 1, and Ensign Joseph T. Jr., USN, married to Elizabeth Ann Krone, Norfolk, Va.; and five grandchildren: Josiah, Julia, Jesse, Jordyn and Jacob Novak. Brother of John, North Kingston, R.I.; and Mary, widow of Louis Weinstein, Brooklyn, N.Y. Member of All Saints Parish. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Retired employee of Beckwith Machinery Co., Somerset, and the former Sheftic Amusement Co., Boswell. Avid collector of old films and he was a "Grandpa Extraordinaire." Friends were received Wednesday evening and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Chapel, Boswell, the Rev. Father Blase Wegierski, O.F.M. Conv. celebrant. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton.
