Null died of apoplexy Oct. 8, 1941, after an illness of about 30 days. He was born Dec. 1, 1885 and was aged 55 years, 10 months and 7 days. He was the son of the late Thomas E. and Lizzie (Keller) Null. His mother was the only Gold Star Mother of the Confluence American Legion, his brother, George J. Null, having died Nov. 9, 1918, in France. William F. Null was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Meyersdale and a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 444, of Addison Twp., and he will be missed in many ways. He taught public school all his life from the time he was 16 years old. He leaves three sisters and three brothers: namely, Mrs. Bessie Plummer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Miss Etta Null, at home; Stella Rutter of Uniontown; Charles Null of Uniontown; Hugh Null of Point Marion, and Thomas E. Null of Lebanon, Pa. Funeral services were held at his home on Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. A. K. Travis of Aspinwall, Pa., and Rev. Mrs. Mary Richey, pastor of Addison Methodist Episcopal Church. Pallbearers were Mearl G. Shope, Edward Whetsell, Nelson A. Wright, A. E. Hartzell, George C. Wright and Harold Loudermilk. Interment in Addison Cemetery on the family lot by Mortician Harry B. Rishebarger. Meyersdale Republican, October 16, 1941
