"Candy" Oakes, 49, of Dividing Ridge Road, Fairhope, went to be with the Lord, Feb. 15, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 9, 1952, in Hooversville, daughter of Robert and Doris (Mishler) Pugh. Preceded in death by parents and brother Terry L. Pugh. Survived by husband of 29 years, Thomas Paul Oakes, and these children: Timothy and Richard, married to former Elizabeth Flowers, both of Somerset, Bruce and Terry, both at home, and Michael, married to former Sherry Gindlesperger, of Berlin; granddaughters Megan, Katherine and Nicole Oakes; sisters Judy, married to Donnie Dixon, of Northeast; Sally Rigo and Miriam, married to Terry Johnson, both of Somerset, and Bonnie, married to Walter Oakes of Berlin; also, Aunt Mary Spangler of Windber and numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Somerset High School. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Gerald E.
