Born Aug. 11, 1915, in Milford Township. Son of the late Edward James and Hattie (Baughman) O'Brien. Also preceded in death by wife, the former Mary Ellen Pyle, who died Oct. 17, 1965; great-granddaughter, Vanessa Davis; 2 sisters: Mary O'Brien and Mae Nicholson, and a brother, Earl O'Brien. Survived by children: Mrs. Marlin W. (Nancy) Friedline, Fairfield, Calif.; Edward W. O'Brien, married to the former Earlene Sechler, and Mrs. John L. (Mary Jane) Maust, both of Somerset; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Ada Briskey, Miss Gladys O'Brien, Ernest and Dalton J. O'Brien, all of Rockwood. Retired Milford Township dairy farmer. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Milford Grange, Pennsylvania Farmers Association. Had been a Milford Township supervisor for 18 years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. John J. Palko officiating. Interment, New Centerville Union Cemetery.
