MARY C. O'BRIEN

  Mrs. Mary C. O'Brien, 60, of Berlin, died in Chambersburg Hospital Saturday, 
where she had been a patient for one week.  Having gone to visit her daughter in 
Chambersburg, she was taken ill while there.
  Mrs. O'Brien was born May 30, 1880, a daughter of Clelland and Nancy Warnick 
Hammond.
  She is survived by her husband, John C. O'Brien, and the following children: 
Mrs. Robert Jones, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Elmer Nyland, Salem, N.J.; Mrs. William 
Day, Connellsville; James O'Brien, Berlin; Charles O'Brien, Pontiac, Mich.; Mrs. 
Richard Umberger, Chambersburg; Robert O'Brien, Meyersdale RD 2; Mary Geraldine 
O'Brien, Berlin.  Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; a brother, John Hammond of Franklin Co., and sister, Mrs. William 
Guyre of Chambersburg.
  She was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church.
  Funeral services were conducted at Johnson & Son Funeral Home Tuesday at 3:30 
p.m. with the Rev. Percy C. Miller officiating.  Interment was made in Berlin 
I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
