Born Jan. 11, 1912, in Thackery, Ohio, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Leonard) Snapp. She is survived by these children, the Rev. Eugene, married to the former DeAnn Benshoff, Berlin, Alice, married to Marlin Garber, Spokane, Wash., Dennis, Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother Herbert and his wife Lillian, Palm Harbor, Fla. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught for 33 1/2 years, and was a member of the Ohio Retired Teacher's Association. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, Pleasant Hill, Ohio. She enjoyed entertaining people, cooking, and was known as a great pie baker. Other activities include volunteering at the Newton School libary, Share & Prayer group, and the Newton Band Boosters. She also loved working at the Band Boosters stand at the Miami County Fair, Christian Women's Brunch, Friendship Club, Athenaeum Club, and Miami County Chaplin's Program serving Stouder, Dettmer and Piqua Memorial Hospitals. There will be no viewing. Family will receive friends from 6-6:30 p.m. in Friday, Sept. 17, in the First Brethren Church in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. We are so thankful and blessed that God has allowed us to have her these 92 years. The family requests no flowers.
