OESTER Grantsville, Maryland Conrad J. Oester, 76, died at his farm home near Keysers Ridge about 3 o'clock Friday afternoon after an extended illness. He was a son of the late Adam and Anna Hanftling Oester and was born near here. He was the last of his family. Mr. Oester engaged in farming and for a number of years operated the farm near Keysers Ridge, which was his home. He married Louise Hanft some forty-nine years ago. She and their four sons survive, namely, Louis Oester, Springs, Adam, George and Jacob Oester, near here. Three grandchildren also survive. Mr. Oester had been a member of the German Lutheran Church at Cove for many years and funeral services were conducted from there Monday afternoon. The pastor, Rev. H. H. Fickenscher, officiated. Interment was in the Cove cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, September 4, 1941
