Born Nov. 16, 1938, in Greenville Twp., he was a son of Leona (McKenzie) Oester, Grantsville, Md. and the late Charles Ray Oester. Survivors include his wife, Eileen C. (Spiker) Oester; 4 sons: Joseph Edgar Oester, Springs; Christopher Allen Oester, Salisbury; Charles Henry Oester, Boynton; and Ronald Paul Oester, Salisbury, and one daughter, Patricia Ann Beitzel, Salisbury; 3 brothers: Dave and Donald, both of Meyersdale; Charles, Springs; 5 sisters: Ada House and Linda House, both of Grantsville, Md., Lois Rugg and Bonnie Minick, both of Confluence, and Clara Christner, Meyersdale. Also 8 grandchildren. Member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Salisbury. Retired pipecutter for Pittsburgh Nipple Works, and past treasurer for U.S. Steelworkers local. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Michael's Church, with the Rev.
