Born June 8, 1938, in Salisbury, he was a son of Grace E. (Folk) Oester, Salisbury, and the late John Henry Oester. Mr. Oester was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was employed by the General Services Administration of the U.S. government as a maintenance worker. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a member of Salisbury and Somerset American Legions and Salisbury VFW. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Kay McKenzie and husband, Jerry, Fort Ashby, W. VA. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted on at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. David E Fetter officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
