She was born May 5, 1913, in Garrett Co., Md., the daughter of the late Angus and Caroline (Merrbach) McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oester; two sons: Edgar and Donald; two daughters: Ada House and infant, Mary Ellen and three grandchildren. Surviving are two sons: David, Meyersdale and Charles, Springs; four daughters: Bonnie Minick, Clara Christner and Lois Rugg, all of Meyersdale and Linda House, Grantsville; one brother, Wilbur McKenzie, Meyersdale; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services were conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment was in Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Salisbury Church of the Brethren.
