Born July 1, 1902, in Springs, daughter of the late Daniel P. and Amelia (Eichorn) Miller. Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis A. Oester, and a son, Daniel. Survived by two sons, James L. of Canton, Ohio; and D. Gordon of Langhorn, Pa.; and three grandchildren. Retired school teacher in Salisbury Elk-Lick School District, and a former news reporter of Springs items for the Meyersdale Republic, and was presently the hostess at the Springs Museum. Member of the Springs Mennonite Church where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Walter C. Otto and the Rev. John H Kraybill officiating. Interment, Upper Springs Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Friends will be received Friday 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Daily American December 5, 1980 [O0073]
