SALINA BOWSER OESTER

Cove, Maryland - 4 March

  Mrs. George Oester, a former resident of this community, who, since the death 
of her husband, made her home with her children, passed away at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Adam Richter, in Accident, early Saturday morning, Feb. 24, after 
an illness of only a few hours.  At the time of her death she was aged 84 years.
  She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Adam Richter, of Accident; two sons, 
Julius, of Accident, and Harry Nile, of Garrett, Pa.  She also leaves to mourn 
her departure five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Harriet Sellers, of 
Somerfield, Pa., and two brothers.
  Mrs. Oester was married twice.  Both husbands, one daughter, Mrs. Ervin 
Thomas, and one son, Henry Oester, preceeded her in death.
  Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the German 
Lutheran Church at this place, by her pastor, Rev. H. H. Fickencher.  She was a 
faithful member of this church for many years and leaves many friends in this 
community.
