  OESTER
  
    Vernon Wayne Oester, 68, of Garrett, died Aug. 27, 1995, in VA Medical
  Center, Martinsburg, W. Va.  Born July 7, 1927, in Meyersdale.  A son of
  the late Charles F. and Carrie (Nichelson) Oester.  Survived by his widow,
  the former Ethel Danielson, and three daughters: Melody LaDow, April Koney
  and Cindy Cook; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Brother of
  Gerald Oester of Meyersdale.  Retired staff sergeant in the US Air Force,
  serving in World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.  Life member of
  American Legion Post 1112, where he served as chaplain.  Scoutmaster of Boy
  Scout Troop 142, Meyersdale.  Friends will be received at the Leckemby
  Funeral Home in Meyersdale after 2pm Wednesday (today) until time of
  service at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Rev. LaMar Bender
  officiating.  Interment, Arlington National Cemetery.
