Ohler, 76, of Berlin RD 1 died Sept. 14, 1994, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 16, 1918, in Casselman. Son of George and Dorothy (Barnhart) Ohler. Preceded in death by parents; sons, John J. and George Edward; three brothers, four sisters, and a great-grandson, Justin Paul Decker. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Alma Chaney; these children: Mrs. James (Ellen) Benning, Mrs. Dalton (Dorothy) Miller, and Mrs. Kenneth (Alma Jean) Benning, all of Fairhope RD 1; William H., married to the former Shirley Jean Lauer, of Grand Junction, Colo.; Clarence, married to the former Donna Sheeler, Somerset RD 7; Mrs. John (Shirley) Slope, Berlin RD 4, and Robert James, married to the former Mary Emerick, Berlin RD 1; 27 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret Walters of Dunlo, Mildred Gratis of Windber and Clarence of Elton. Retired coal miner. Member of Unity United Church of Christ. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will he held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Jay E.
