Born Aug. 9, 1896 in Greensburg, son of Charles and Zeklia Olsen. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers and one sister and his first wife, Catherine McVicker. Survived by widow, the former Erma Buchanan, and these children, Mrs. James (Katherine) Kalb, Pittsburgh, Arthur Jr. and Mrs. James (Eva) Folk, both of Stoystown RD 2, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Alice Mock of Johnstown, Clarence of Bedford RD 1, Thomas of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Mable Lowdermilk, Hyattsville, Md. A retired coal miner, he was a member of the UMWA Cairnbrook local, a World War I Army veteran, member of Windber barracks World War I Veterans and the Hooversville VFW. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Charles R Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown where services will be conducted at 2pm Monday.
