  ONSTEAD
  
    Elmer H. Onstead, 78, of Mile Level Trailer Court, Bedford RD 5, formerly
  of Downey, died Oct. 30, 1989, at Bedford Memorial Hospital.  Born Feb. 19,
  1911, in Stonycreek Township, son of Crist A. and Annie M. (Ross)
  Onstead.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Albert, Merle, Charles
  and Ernest, and sisters, Bessie Fritz, Minnie Rose, Elbie Glessner and Fern
  Walker.  Survived by sister, Nettie, of Everett; sister-in-law, Gladys
  Onstead, Central City RD 1, and numerous nieces and nephews.  A member of
  the former Glade Lutheran Church.  World War II Army veteran.  Family will
  receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where service is 2 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Hurburt Cagle officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
