  ONSTEAD
  
  Roy W. Onstead, 78, of Central City RD 1, died Dec. 10, 1993, at Somerset 
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 2, 1915, in Stonycreek Township, son of Michael and Emma 
  (Duppstadt) Onstead.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ralph and sisters, 
  Nevada and Grace Onstead.  Survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Marie 
  Saylor; daughter, Thelma Sadlon, and granddaughter, Christine Sadlon, both of 
  Windber.  Retired Stonycreek Township supervisor and farmer. Was formerly 
  employed by Poorbaugh Lumber Company.  He was a member of Unity United Church of 
  Christ. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. Revs. 
  Jay Shaffer and James R. Ling officiating.  Interment, Walker Cemetery, 
  Shanksville.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart 
  Association.
