  MRS. WILLIAM OPEL
  
  Mrs. Ellen Opel, 78, of Meyersdale RD 3, died Jan. 18, 1974.  Born Aug. 7, 
  1896, in Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Mary 
  (Schrock) Witt. 
  Surviving are her husband, William Opel; three sons, Leroy of LaGrange, Ohio; 
  Clark of Elyria, Ohio; and George, Overlin, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. George 
  Martin Jr., Meyersdale, with whom she made her home; and Mrs. Evelyn Shaw, 
  Frostburg, Md.; also 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, 
  Frank Witt, Meyersdale; and Ross Witt of Poland, Ohio. 
  Funeral service was held Monday afternoon in Konhaus Funeral Home, Meyersdale, 
  with Rev. Joseph Hanna officiating.  Interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
